Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - Pertamina Group claimed 35 communications awards at the Public Relations Indonesia Award (PRIA) 2026, held at Taman Budaya Embung Giwangan, Yogyakarta on Friday, 13 February 2026.

PR Indonesia founder and CEO Asmono Wikan revealed that PRIA is one of the largest public relations competitions in the country. The event was organised by PR Indonesia Magazine and featured more than 580 entries across 11 categories.

He noted that each year, alongside the growing number of participants, the quality of assessment and standards must also be raised to ensure that participants and institutions always strive for excellence.

"As the number of participants and the quality of work increases, we continue to raise our assessment standards. Standards must be continually elevated so that our quality can compete globally. To those who have won, congratulations and keep moving forward. To those who have not yet won, do not stop trying — next year the opportunity remains open," he said.

At the event, PT Pertamina (Persero) received the Special Achievement: Exemplary Public Relations Institution award.

Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, Muhammad Baron, stated that Pertamina's participation in the event was a proud moment and served as a barometer for the effectiveness of the company's communication with the public.

"Today is a joyous day. We participated in the PRIA 2026 Awards, which is a prestigious event serving as a barometer for corporate communication with the public. Approximately 35 awards were received by Pertamina Group. This is tangible proof of how Pertamina delivers communication that is sound, transparent, credible and sustainable," Baron said.

He added that the achievement was expected to serve as both a learning experience and a catalyst for future improvement and innovation.

One of the prestigious awards was claimed by Pertamina's internal media publication, Energia August edition, which received Gold for its success in presenting a strong and relevant internal narrative that could also be appreciated by external audiences.

"This is a tangible manifestation of contributions from all subholdings, which have produced the finest news narratives for all of us. Going forward, we will structure our communications even better so that in this year's creative event we can deliver something even greater for the public," he added.

Meanwhile, Pertamina also received an award for its corporate engagement programme, Pertamina Goes To Campus (PGTC). The annual programme, now in its third year, continues to present new formats and innovations, serving as a platform for competition and discussion among university students and campuses.

"The target must certainly be higher. With the large scale of Pertamina Group and the many categories available, we should be able to achieve even better awards," he concluded.
