Pertamina Expresses Condolences Over Tanah Bumbu Accident; Involved Vehicle Not Part of Operational Fleet

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan has expressed profound condolences regarding a traffic accident that occurred on the Trans Kalimantan Road, Satui District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan, on Saturday (1/8/2026).

“We express our deepest condolences to the victims’ families. We hope those undergoing medical treatment recover quickly, and that the families left behind are granted strength and patience,” said Edi Mangun, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan.

Regarding information concerning the involvement of a fuel tanker in the incident, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan stated that based on an internal investigation, the vehicle is not registered as an operational fleet of Pertamina and was not recorded as performing any service activities at the Pertamina Terminal.

“We are continuing to coordinate with relevant parties to verify information regarding the vehicle. We have fully entrusted the handling and investigation process to the relevant authorities,” said Edi.
