Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has revealed the main reason behind the policy of increasing the price of non-subsidised fuel, Pertamax or RON 92, to Rp16,250 per litre starting Wednesday, 10 June 2026.

The government recently adjusted the price of non-subsidised Pertamax as part of a market mechanism that has undergone a process and received approval. The price of Pertamax is required to follow market price movements and global oil prices.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that a stimulus package is being prepared in relation to the fuel price increase, especially after the Pertamax price rose on Wednesday, 10 June.
