Pertamina expands SME access across all Pelita Air flights

PT Pertamina (Persero) is expanding market access for its fostered micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) by placing their products on all Pelita Air flights, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of local goods and strengthen the grassroots economy.

Speaking at the Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026 in Jakarta, Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that the collaboration provides SME products with a broader market by being present on all Pelita Air domestic flights. The airline serves 15 prime tourist destinations across Indonesia, including Banda Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Palembang, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Lombok, Pontianak, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Kendari, and Makassar.

Mantiri emphasised that strengthening national industry aligns with the government’s Asta Cita vision, particularly in increasing industrial added value and achieving economic self-reliance. Pertamina Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita added that SMEs are a main pillar of the people’s economy, proven to support national economic growth, create jobs, and improve public welfare. As a state-owned enterprise, Pertamina is fully committed to empowering SMEs as part of its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL).

Pelita Air President Director Faik Fahmi stated that the synergy between Pelita Air and Pertamina represents a genuine love for Indonesian products. Through the PAS Sky Shop in-flight sales service, passengers can now purchase a variety of curated SME products, including coconut oil-based body care from Bali Ayu Nature, traditional Balinese bags and wallets by Uwaiscraft, and hijabs from Adabina Scarves. Founder of Bali Ayu Nature, Komang Yatik, expressed pride that her products are now flying with Pelita Air and hopes the initiative will eventually open doors to international markets.
