Pertamina Establishes Ramadan–Eid al-Fitr 2026 Task Force to Ensure Fuel and LPG Supply Security
PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially launched the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026/1447 H Task Force, which will operate to ensure the reliability of national energy supply and distribution throughout the Ramadan period until Eid al-Fitr.
The task force will operate from 9 March to 1 April 2026 across all regions of Indonesia. The establishment of this task force represents Pertamina’s commitment to ensuring the availability and smooth distribution of energy amid increased public demand during Ramadan and heightened mobility during the homecoming and return travel periods of Eid al-Fitr.
Pertamina Chief Executive Officer Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that successful experience managing energy supply during the Christmas and New Year 2025 task force provides a crucial foundation for addressing the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period this year.
“The success of the Christmas and New Year 2025 task force has provided important momentum for Pertamina in preparing for the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period. With thorough preparation, strong cross-functional coordination, and collaboration across all operational lines, we are confident that Pertamina can maintain the reliability of national energy distribution,” said Simon during the task force kick-off at Pertamina House in Jakarta on Monday (9 March 2026).
According to Simon, Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr represent one of the most critical periods for national energy distribution. During this period, there is an increase in fuel, LPG, and gas consumption, driven by heightened public mobility and energy demand across the transportation, household, and industrial sectors.
To address this, Pertamina has implemented various anticipatory measures including early preparation, strengthened cross-functional coordination, and reinforced monitoring and risk mitigation systems across the company’s entire operational chain.
“Through these measures, the availability of fuel, LPG, and gas during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr will remain secure and sufficient,” said Simon.
In addition to maintaining energy supply, Pertamina is also preparing various supplementary services to support public comfort during Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr homecoming travel.
All task force operations will be monitored through an integrated Command Centre and Digital Monitoring System that enables real-time energy distribution monitoring.
The system also utilises data analytics and predictive monitoring to anticipate potential energy distribution disruptions and ensure swift decision-making through coordination forums and crisis centres that have been established.
Pertamina hopes that through the readiness of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force, the public can observe Ramadan worship and undertake homecoming travel safely, comfortably, and with peace of mind.
“Pertamina will continue to ensure national energy resilience, guaranteeing that fuel, LPG, and gas are available and distribution flows smoothly so that the Indonesian public can observe Ramadan and welcome Eid al-Fitr with full peace and joy,” said Simon.
Simon added that Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr also represent an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of service to the public.
“Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are moments to nurture togetherness and mutual trust. This spirit must guide our service to the public,” said Simon.
