Pertamina EP Zone 4 sets 30,305 BOPD production target for 2026
Jakarta – PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Zone 4 is targeting oil production of approximately 30,305 barrels per day (BOPD) and natural gas production of around 485.07 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) in 2026.
“PEP Zone 4 is driving production increases through sustainable operational practices to support national energy security. Safety remains a priority in every operational activity,” said General Manager of PEP Zone 4 Djudjuwanto in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
To realise the production increase targets, Djudjuwanto said PEP Zone 4 has prepared a measured operational strategy. Primary focus is directed towards optimising existing fields through strengthening development drilling programmes, integrating subsurface-surface operations, and utilising technology and data to enhance field economics.
This year, PEP Zone 4 will continue selective infill, interfield, and step-out drilling, supported by updating geological and reservoir models based on 2D and 3D seismic data, including passive seismic surveys.
The company is also preparing a rejuvenation programme for mature fields, optimising production facilities, and implementing technology to reduce natural production decline. The production increase targets have been set to maintain momentum following positive performance throughout 2025, when PEP Zone 4 recorded oil production of 27,643 BOPD and gas production of 530.9 MMSCFD.
Throughout 2025, PEP and Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) Zone 4 recorded significant increases in oil production from development drilling, rising from 385 barrels per day in 2019 to 3,874 barrels per day. Gas production from the same programme also increased sharply, from 0.34 MMSCFD to 12.21 MMSCFD, approximately 40-fold higher, as drilling realisations increased from 9 work plans in 2019 to 69 work plans in 2025.
PEP Zone 4 aggressively executed its work programme with 69 wells drilled, 51 workover operations (WO), and 1,049 well intervention/well service (WI/WS) activities in 2025, all conducted under strict risk management.
On the safety front, PEP Zone 4 recorded more than 1,050 consecutive zero lost-time injury (LTI) days until the end of January 2026 and accumulated 84,886,219 safe man-hours as at 31 December 2025. This safety performance forms an important foundation for maintaining operational stability across the PEP Zone 4 region.
“This achievement is the result of hard work by all personnel in PHR Zone 4. We will continue strengthening collaboration to ensure positive performance is sustained,” said Djudjuwanto.
