PT Pertamina EP (Pertamina EP) supports meeting the industrial needs of the West Java region (Jabar) by signing a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) with PT Cikarang Listrindo.

‘This long-term agreement is expected to provide energy supply certainty and contribute positively to the competitiveness of industry in West Java, as well as support regional economic growth,’ said Pertamina EP’s President Director Rachmat Hidajat in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

The gas sale and purchase agreement is valid until 16 September 2035 and will support meeting the industrial needs of the West Java region. Gas supply from Pertamina EP’s Working Area comes from Akasia Bagus Field, Jatibarang Field, with a total volume of 20 billion standard cubic feet (BSCF).

The collaboration between Pertamina EP and Cikarang Listrindo is a strategic step in ensuring the availability of reliable and sustainable energy for the national industrial sector, particularly in West Java.

In the same event, Pertamina EP also signed a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement with Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) to support the production and operations of oil and gas in the Rohkan Working Area, in Riau Province. The PJBG lasts until 31 December 2030, with a total volume of 35 trillion British Thermal Units (TBTU).

Through these two gas sale and purchase agreements, the company says it ensures the country’s share of gas sales from Pertamina EP’s Working Areas in Java and Sumatra, and strengthens national energy resilience and sovereignty.
