Kupang (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jawa Timur Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus) has ensured that the supply and distribution of fuel oil (BBM) in Rote Ndao District, the southernmost district in the Republic of Indonesia, East Nusa Tenggara Province, is sufficient. “The fuel stock for Rote Ndao District is available,” said Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR of Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, when contacted from Kupang on Wednesday night. He conveyed this after rumours circulated on Wednesday (13/5) regarding public complaints in Rote Ndao District about difficulties in obtaining Pertamax and Pertalite fuels. Ahad stated that distribution is currently underway. His side assures that supplies of both subsidised and non-subsidised BBM are sufficient and are distributed on target according to their intended use. Ahad emphasised that on Tuesday (12/5), a fuel supply shipment arrived with a load of 60 kilolitres for Pertalite, 40 KL for Pertamax, 35 KL for Biosolar, and 5 KL for Pertamina Dex. With this new supply arriving, it is ensured that the needs for both subsidised and non-subsidised BBM are safe and sufficient to meet the needs of the Rote Ndao community. He also assured that the distribution process is in accordance with its intended purpose as stipulated by the government, for both subsidised and non-subsidised BBM. “As part of the government’s assignment to ensure that the community’s energy needs are met, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to carry out its commitment in providing subsidised BBM according to the quota and sales service points that have been set by the government, in this case BPH Migas,” he added. He also added that Pertamina does not tolerate distributing institutions that violate regulations and commit fraud in serving consumers. If violations are found, further sanctions will be imposed, up to and including Termination of Business Relations (PHU).
