Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured that fuel (BBM) prices are stable or unchanged. Pertamina will focus on strengthening energy distribution to ensure supplies remain secure amid increasing public demand.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, stated that the company not only implements pricing policies but also reinforces distribution strategies to maintain safe fuel availability in the field. “We consistently carry out government policies, including fuel price setting, and take strategic steps such as negotiating with suppliers and optimising distribution,” said Roberth, as quoted from Antara on Thursday, 2 April 2026.

He said supply stability is the top priority amid circulating information dynamics in society, including issues of price increases that once triggered consumption spikes in several areas.

Pertamina Patra Niaga is also anticipating market psychological impacts by ensuring optimal distribution, thus preventing supply shortages due to short-term buying surges.

Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, Edi Mangun, said that previous queues at several petrol stations were triggered by public concerns over fuel price increase rumours. “There was indeed public concern since the circulation of fuel price increase rumours, particularly for subsidised fuel, which impacted queues. However, the government has confirmed there will be no fuel price increase,” said Edi.

He added that Pertamina, as the operator, will follow government regulations while maintaining reliable energy distribution services for the public. “We also urge the public to use energy wisely according to needs and not be influenced by information that could trigger panic buying,” he stated.

Pertamina views the public’s role in maintaining reasonable consumption patterns as an important factor in supporting smooth distribution, thereby ensuring national energy resilience remains intact and able to support economic activities.
