Pertamina ensures reliability of energy distribution in Eastern Indonesia
Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, alongside government officials, has directly inspected the Baubau Fuel Terminal (FT) in Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi, to ensure that energy distribution reliability in Eastern Indonesia remains secure and smooth.
Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, Deny Sukendar, stated that the visit serves as a momentum to strengthen synergy and ensure the readiness of FT Baubau in its role as the backbone of energy distribution in the Eastern Indonesian region.
“FT Baubau plays a strategic role in maintaining the continuity of energy distribution, particularly for areas within Eastern Indonesia. Therefore, we continue to ensure that facilities, personnel readiness, and operational processes are managed optimally so that distribution can proceed safely, reliably, and in accordance with demand,” Deny said in Baubau on Saturday.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi continues to bolster energy distribution reliability to support the needs of the community and economic activities in the Eastern Indonesian region.
This commitment was reinforced through a Management Walk Through (MWT) activity at the Baubau Fuel Terminal, Southeast Sulawesi. The activity included presentations regarding the operational conditions and energy distribution in the Baubau area, followed by a direct inspection of the terminal’s facilities and infrastructure.
Government officials and Pertamina management reviewed the readiness of facilities, operational processes, and the distribution patterns implemented by FT Baubau in supporting energy needs in Eastern Indonesia.
Deny noted that FT Baubau holds a strategic position as a vital point in the energy distribution chain in the Eastern Indonesian region.
The terminal supports the supply of fuel and other energy products to numerous island territories and surrounding areas, making facility reliability, distribution accuracy, and operational readiness critical factors in maintaining supply continuity.
Deny added that Pertamina will continue to follow up on the directions and feedback provided during the MWT activity as part of enhancing operational reliability.
“Support and attention from the government serve as an encouragement for us to maintain the reliability of FT Baubau while improving the quality of energy distribution services for the community in Eastern Indonesia,” he added.
The reliability of FT Baubau is part of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s efforts to maintain energy security and distribution continuity in the Eastern Indonesian region.
With adequate facilities, standardised operational processes, and coordination with the government and stakeholders, energy distribution is expected to continue safely and reliably.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi is committed to continuously strengthening energy infrastructure readiness, improving operational reliability, and conducting ongoing evaluations and improvements to ensure the energy needs of the community and customers in Eastern Indonesia are met.
The Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Laode Sulaiman, appreciated the readiness of the facilities and the execution of energy distribution at FT Baubancy.
According to Laode, the facilities at the Baubau Fuel Terminal are well-equipped to support operational activities and distribution. This is a vital component of the energy infrastructure supporting the needs of the population in Eastern Indonesia.
