Banjarmasin (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has ensured the reliability of avtur supply during the 2026 Hajj season to support the smooth operational flights for prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) throughout Indonesia, including the Banjarmasin embarkation point. Aviation energy reliability is a crucial aspect in organising the national-scale Hajj pilgrimage, given the high frequency of flights in a limited time. The Company Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, when confirmed in Banjarmasin on Saturday, emphasised that the company has prepared an integrated supply chain system to guarantee avtur availability during the Hajj period. “Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures the reliability of avtur supply at all Hajj flight service points through an integrated supply chain system, from refineries, fuel terminals, aviation fuel terminals to into-plane services,” said Roberth. According to him, these steps are taken to ensure that Hajj flight operations run safely, on time, and in accordance with aviation service standards. Nationally, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared more than 80,000 kilolitres of avtur to meet Hajj flight needs, supported by infrastructure and standby personnel. In Kalimantan, the Syamsudin Noor Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) serves as one of the strategic points ensuring avtur distribution reliability through the implementation of the first filling for the 1447 Hijriah Hajj flight. The Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, Edi Mangun, stated that this readiness is strengthened through the formation of the 2026 Hajj Task Force. “The implementation of the first refuelling for the Hajj flight at AFT Syamsudin Noor demonstrates our readiness in maintaining the reliability of aviation energy services during the Hajj season,” said Edi. He also added that the entire avtur distribution process prioritises HSSE principles, operational reliability, and timeliness to ensure flight safety. “Every drop of energy distributed is part of our great responsibility in supporting the pilgrimage journey of prospective Hajj pilgrims safely and smoothly,” he stated.
