The fuel distribution situation in Makassar, Gowa, Takalar, and Maros is currently more conducive.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi has ensured that fuel services and distribution in the city of Makassar, South Sulawesi, as well as the surrounding areas of Gowa, Takalar, and Maros, are running well and smoothly.

The Acting Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, Okky Aditya Wibowo, stated that the condition of petrol stations (SPBU) in Makassar and the surrounding regions shows more stable progress thanks to coordination with various parties.

“The fuel distribution situation in Makassar, Gowa, Takalar, and Maros is currently more conducive. This is certainly the result of collaborative efforts between Pertamina, local governments, and law enforcement agencies (APH) who continue to coordinate and conduct field monitoring,” said Okky in a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to him, the distribution at several petrol stations in the region is currently observed to be more orderly, with vehicle queues no longer disrupting the traffic flow around the locations.

He added that his team, alongside local governments and law enforcement, continues to conduct field monitoring to ensure that fuel services to the community proceed effectively.

In addition to ensuring conditions at petrol stations, Pertamina is also maintaining supply sustainability by distributing fuel routinely to distribution agencies, taking into account the needs and conditions of each respective area.

Okky emphasised that monitoring and coordination are ongoing to maintain smooth fuel distribution, including addressing any dynamics that may arise in the field.

“From Pertamina’s side, we continue our efforts to ensure that fuel distribution remains sustainable. Distribution to distribution agencies continues, and we are constantly monitoring field conditions. We also continue to coordinate with local governments and law enforcement should any dynamics occur during distribution,” Okky added.

Previously, the Independent Commissioner of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Prabunindya Revta Revolusi, stated that fuel distribution services through petrol stations in Makassar are gradually returning to normal, supported by the readiness of staff to serve the public.

“We conducted inspections at several petrol stations in Makassar and observed that queues have begun to normalise and the situation is stabilising. Staff are also ready to serve the residents of Makassar in accessing their energy needs,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Prabunindya inspected the service readiness and operations of Pertamina Patra Niaga at several petrol stations and fuel terminals in Makassar on Tuesday (15/9).

The inspection was carried out to ensure the readiness of facilities, petrol station services, and the smooth distribution of fuel to the community.

According to Prabunindya, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to ensure supply availability, facility readiness, and petrol station services, while strengthening coordination with local governments and all stakeholders to maintain energy reliability in Makassar.
