Pertamina Ensures Fuel and LPG Supply Security During Ramadan and Eid, Public Urged Against Panic Buying
PURWOKERTO — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured the availability of fuel and LPG supplies in safe condition throughout the Ramadan period until Eid al-Fitr 2026.
The public has been urged not to engage in excessive purchases or panic buying. Eko Ricky Susanto, Director of Retail Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated that the company has prepared various strategies to maintain guaranteed energy supply, particularly in Central Java, which serves as one of the main exodus routes.
“We ensure fuel and LPG stocks are safe, both nationally and specifically in the Central Java region. The public need not engage in panic buying as we have already prepared all energy requirements,” he said whilst inspecting the Pertamina Lobby at Purwokerto Station, Central Java, Tuesday (17/3/2026).
Additionally, LPG distribution has been strengthened through terminals located in Semarang and Cilacap. “With the support of these terminals, we ensure energy availability during the Ramadan Task Force and Eid al-Fitr periods remains secure,” he said.
To support smooth holiday travel, Pertamina has also prepared additional services in the form of modular kiosks at several rest areas, particularly in locations lacking petrol stations.
This service aims to facilitate holiday travellers in obtaining fuel during their journeys.
“We are preparing modular kiosks at rest areas where petrol stations are not yet available, so that the public can still easily obtain fuel,” he said.
Eko added that the company has also prepared emergency distribution schemes to anticipate supply disruptions in disaster-prone areas, such as regions prone to landslides.
According to him, fuel distribution will continue to be conducted through tanker trucks from the nearest terminal should field difficulties arise.
“We are also preparing attention services for certain areas that could experience disruptions, such as landslides. Distribution will be assisted from the nearest terminal, for example from Maos or Tegal,” he explained.
Through these various measures, Pertamina ensures that energy distribution during the holiday period and Eid return flow remains smooth. “We ensure that all fuel distribution is secure, so that the public can carry out their holiday journeys and celebrate Eid al-Fitr comfortably,” he said.
Furthermore, Pertamina has also introduced the Pertamina Lobby service at several strategic locations as an additional facility for holiday travellers.
