Pertamina Ensures 15-Day Stock of Pertalite and Subsidised Diesel, Accelerates Distribution
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has confirmed that national fuel oil (BBM) stock resilience is at a safe level, with supply availability ranging from 14 to 40 days. Specifically for Pertalite petrol and subsidised diesel, the company noted that the average current stock resilience is sufficient to meet demand for the next 15 days.
Vice President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Taufiq Aditiyawarman, explained that the company is focusing on accelerating distribution from depots to all petrol station points to prevent vehicle queues. He stressed that the company has increased the number of land transport fleets and added tanker truck crews to support operations.
“National fuel stocks average between 14 to 40 days, varying by type. Currently, Pertalite and subsidised diesel average around 15 days,” he said during a press conference at the Indonesian House of Representatives building in Jakarta, as quoted on Friday.
He urged the public not to worry about domestic fuel availability, as stocks are confirmed to be more than sufficient. In addition to increasing the number of transport units, Pertamina is also extending the operational hours of petrol stations to ease the build-up of customers in several regions.
“We always ensure supplies are more than sufficient. We will expedite distribution to petrol stations and retail outlets,” he asserted.
Regarding distribution in the Sumatra region, which had previously experienced disruptions, the company reported that the situation on the ground is gradually returning to normal. Together with the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the National Police, the company is ensuring that tanker trucks reach their destinations on time.
“Sumatra, as reported this morning, has returned to normal, because over the last two days we have added fleets and also added drivers or tanker truck crews,” he concluded.
