Bengkulu — Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional South Sumatra (Sumbagsel) has assured the availability of energy supply in Bengkulu Province remains secure throughout the period of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday exodus and return journey.

“Pertamina has prepared various anticipatory measures to ensure energy supply remains secure and its distribution runs smoothly across all operational areas. Coordination with local government, security authorities, and relevant institutions continues to be strengthened to ensure energy distribution operates optimally,” stated Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel Erwin Dwiyanto.

Pertamina’s Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force has projected that consumption of petrol products (Pertalite and Pertamax Series) in Bengkulu is estimated to increase by approximately 10 per cent during the 2026 Eid period compared with normal daily average consumption.

Meanwhile, consumption of diesel products (Biosolar and Dex Series) is projected to decline by approximately 22 per cent due to reduced logistics transport activity during the Eid holiday period.

For three-kilogramme liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), consumption is estimated to increase by approximately 8 per cent, particularly in the household sector. Aviation fuel demand is projected to rise by approximately 42 per cent as flight frequencies increase in Bengkulu during the exodus and return journey period.

To strengthen supply capacity, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel has increased energy stocks in Bengkulu. For petrol products, supply has been increased by 918 kilolitres (KL), whilst diesel products have been increased by 267 KL to support smooth logistics distribution and transport activities throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

For three-kilogramme LPG, Pertamina has increased supply by 215 metric tonnes (MT) to address rising demand, particularly in the household sector and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Dwiyanto stated that Pertamina has prepared various anticipatory measures to ensure reliable supply and smooth energy distribution throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

Beyond Bengkulu, Pertamina Patra Niaga also ensures adequate energy supply for other provinces in the South Sumatra region. These anticipatory steps are being taken as energy demand increases ahead of the Lebaran holiday break.

As a commitment to public service, Pertamina has activated the 2026 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force, which will be on full alert throughout the exodus and return period.

The task force is responsible for conducting intensive monitoring of supply, stock resilience, energy distribution, and operational conditions of facilities across the entire Regional Sumbagsel operational area.

From an infrastructure perspective, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel operates 10 fuel terminals, 3 LPG terminals, 702 fuel stations, 882 Pertashops, 57 LPG dispensing points, 559 LPG agents, and 6 aviation fuel terminals, all in operational condition to support community energy needs.

Additionally, supplementary services have been arranged along potential routes such as toll roads, tourist routes, and main thoroughfares, including 146 standby fuel stations, 479 standby LPG agents, 8 kiosk/modular service points, 9 motorist units, 54 Brightgas retail outlets, 6 mobile storage units, and 2 MyPertamina service kiosks to provide convenience during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel has urged the public to purchase fuel and LPG according to their needs and to utilise quality fuel products such as Pertamax Series and Dex Series, which help maintain vehicle engine performance, particularly during exodus and return journeys.

With the activation of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force and support from all stakeholders, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel is committed to maintaining reliable energy supply so that the public can observe Ramadan and undertake exodus and return journeys safely and comfortably.
