Pertamina Enduro reiterates that reports of Tisya Amallya Putri's dismissal are hoaxes

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The management of Jakarta Pertamina Enduro has reiterated that rumours of the dismissal of team captain Tisya Amallya Putri circulating widely on social media are hoaxes. Chef de Mission of Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, Werry Prayogi, confirmed that Tisya remains a crucial part of the squad and continues to fulfil her role as captain of the team. ‘Tisya remains part of Jakarta Pertamina Enduro and continues to carry out her role as team captain,’ he said in an official statement in Jakarta on Saturday. Several videos circulating on various social media platforms contained misleading narratives claiming that Jakarta Pertamina had dismissed Tisya unilaterally. Those contents emerged in large numbers precisely as the team entered a crucial phase towards contending for the title in the semi-finals. Jakarta Pertamina explained that the videos appeared to use deepfake technology to manipulate the faces and voices of management, coaches, and players. In addition to AI technology, there were also contents editing management statements out of their original context. The videos were then combined with synthetic narration and newsreader visuals to build false credibility so that it looked like mainstream news coverage. Werry expressed regret over the actions of individuals who spread such manipulative content. According to him, cutting statements out of context can undermine the harmony of a team focused on competing. ‘We regret the existence of content that cuts management statements out of context and disseminates them as misleading information,’ said Werry.
