Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 Brings 7 Environmental Initiatives

PT Pertamina (Persero) will again hold the Eco RunFest 2026 on Sunday, 6 December 2026. The 13th edition carries the theme ‘Spark The Change Leave Zero Energy’.

Vice President Corporate Communication Pertamina, Muhammad Baron, said this year’s Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 brings seven initiatives. The first is Eco-Jersey, through the development of jerseys made from plastic bottle waste and textile waste in collaboration with local brand Manta Liberta.

‘The jerseys we use in this year’s Eco Run are jerseys that are truly the result of recycling research,’ he said at the Pertamina EcoRun 2026 Press Conference in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/8/2026).

The next initiative is Eco-Innovation, a collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the form of an education and competition programme that encourages students to create innovative solutions for waste management in schools. The programme runs until December 2026.

‘We are also carrying this out to collaborate in realising new innovations related to the environment,’ Baron explained.

Then there is Eco-Mission, where 100% of ticket sales profits are channelled entirely to Eco-Mission as concrete action for the environment. Eco-Talent involves all participating talent, including artists, key opinion leaders, crew and collaborators, in carrying and spreading environmental awareness values.

Next is Eco-Production, through the use of recycled materials, rentals and plants for stage production, decoration and other event equipment. Then Eco-Waste Management, a waste processing programme with a commitment to 100% of waste being processed.

Finally, Eco-Education provides environmental education through a green dashboard and carbon calculator.

‘For Eco-Education, we will have a calculator where every runner can calculate how much emissions they have reduced by taking the MRT, for example,’ Baron explained.

On the same occasion, Race Director Pertamina EcoRun Fest 2026, Reza Puspo, outlined that the Pertamina EcoRun Fest 2026 route features four categories: Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Family Course.

‘For the Half Marathon, it will start from gate 7 towards the Semanggi Bridge, go up, then down below Semanggi. Then head south towards the South Jakarta Mayor’s Office. There we go up towards Jalan Antasari, down at Cipete, turn around, go back up Jalan Antasari, then down at the South Jakarta Mayor’s Office, head north towards Pemuda or Plaza Senayan, then turn left at gate 7,’ he explained.

Meanwhile, the 10K will start at the same point, exit gate 7, then go to Plaza Semanggi, go up, come down again to Plaza Semanggi, and head south.

‘Then go down past the Pemuda Statue, down again to ASEAN, turn around, return to the Pemuda Statue and back to gate 7,’ Reza explained.

‘For the 5K, it is quite simple. It will be in the previous area. So exit from KM0, head to gate 7, go up Semanggi, down Semanggi, towards the Pemuda Statue and return to gate 7,’ Reza said.
