These awards acknowledge the company’s commitment to maintaining health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) standards in the drilling sector for 2025.
Pertamina Drilling won the Best Recordable Incident Rate for Company for Onshore award, given to the company with the lowest work incident rate. In addition, it received the Best Recordable Incident Rate for Individual Unit for Onshore award for RIG PDSI #40.3/DS1500-E for its best safety performance at the unit level.

The awards were received directly by the President Director of Pertamina Drilling, Avep Disasmita, during a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Wednesday (1/4).
Avep stated that this achievement is the result of the hard work of all Pertamina Drilling officers in implementing a disciplined and sustainable safety culture.
“These awards are tangible proof of our commitment to conducting operations that prioritise safety, not just as an obligation, but as a work culture ingrained in every line,” said Avep.
He also emphasised that this success is inseparable from the role of all field workers who consistently adhere to safety procedures and apply HSSE principles.
The IADC Southeast Asia Chapter is an international organisation that oversees companies in the drilling industry, focusing on improving safety standards, operational efficiency, and best practices in the sector.
The awards won by Pertamina Drilling further strengthen the company’s position as one of the main players in the regional drilling industry, excelling not only in operational performance but also in workplace safety.
With this achievement, Pertamina Drilling is expected to continue maintaining consistency and enhancing safety standards, in line with efforts to support national energy resilience sustainably.
