Pertamina Distributes Over 4,400 Sacrificial Animals for Eid al-Adha 2026
Pertamina Group distributed over 4,400 sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 2026. The animals, contributed by Pertamina Group employees and the company itself, were distributed across operational regions nationwide. Over 46% of the sacrificial animals were cattle, with the remainder being goats and sheep.
VP Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron stated that the sacrifice activity is not only a form of worship but also a means to strengthen empathy, unity, and social responsibility towards communities around the company’s operational areas.
“Pertamina slaughters thousands of cattle and goats on behalf of employees and the company. The meat is then distributed to communities in need around the operational areas,” he said.
Annual Eid al-Adha celebrations at various operational units and offices include the slaughter of sacrificial animals, which has become a regular part of Pertamina’s activities.
“Idul Adha is not about the number of animals sacrificed, but it is the right time to share and show care for others. We hope this sacrifice benefits the community and strengthens the relationship between the company and the public,” he added.
In addition to the animal slaughter, it is a tradition at some Pertamina operational units to hold Eid al-Adha prayers, attended not only by employees and their families but also by local communities.
Baron added that Eid al-Adha is an opportunity for employees and communities to strengthen ties and reinforce solidarity. He emphasised that good relations between staff and the public are crucial for creating a conducive work environment and company operations, as well as boosting productivity.
Through sacrifice activities and other social initiatives, Pertamina aims to provide tangible benefits to communities and strengthen social bonds as a core foundation of the company.
“With a spirit of sharing and solidarity, Pertamina remains committed to fulfilling its primary mandate of safeguarding national energy security while implementing various social and environmental responsibility programs to benefit society and the environment,” Baron said.
