Pertamina Distributes Over 4,400 Sacrificial Animals for Eid al-Adha 2026

Pertamina Group distributed over 4,400 sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 2026. The sacrificial animals were contributed by Pertamina Group employees and subsidiaries, then distributed across operational areas throughout Indonesia. Of the 4,400 animals, approximately 46% were cattle, with the remainder goats and sheep. Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, stated that the sacrifice activity is not merely an act of worship. More significantly, it serves to strengthen empathy, unity, and social responsibility towards communities surrounding the company’s operational areas. Baron added that Pertamina slaughtered thousands of cattle and goats, which were entrusted by employees and the company itself. The slaughter of sacrificial animals at various operational units and offices during Eid al-Adha has become an annual tradition for Pertamina. Baron noted that Eid al-Adha is not about the quantity of animals sacrificed, but rather an opportunity to share and demonstrate care for others. “We hope this sacrifice benefits the community and further strengthens the relationship between the company and the public,” he said. In addition to the animal sacrifice, Pertamina’s operational units have a tradition of holding Eid al-Adha prayers. Baron added that Eid al-Adha serves as a moment for employees and communities to strengthen ties and reinforce solidarity. He emphasised that positive relationships between staff and communities are crucial for fostering a conducive work environment and company operations, thereby enhancing productivity. Through sacrificial activities and other social initiatives, Pertamina aims to deliver tangible benefits to communities and strengthen social bonds as a core foundation of the company.
