Jakarta - Pertamina Group distributed over 4,400 sacrificial animals during the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebrations. The animals, contributed by employees and the company itself, were distributed across operational regions nationwide. Over 46% were cattle, with the remainder goats and sheep.

Muhammad Baron, VP of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), stated: “Pertamina slaughters thousands of cattle and goats on behalf of employees and the company. The meat is then distributed to communities around our operational areas in need.”

The annual slaughter of sacrificial animals during Eid al-Adha across Pertamina’s operational units and offices is a longstanding tradition. Baron added: “Eid al-Adha is not about the number of animals sacrificed, but a time to share and show compassion. We hope this act benefits the community and strengthens the relationship between the company and the public.”

In addition to the slaughter, several Pertamina units also hold Eid al-Adha prayers, attended by employees, their families, and local communities. Baron noted that the celebration also serves as an opportunity to strengthen bonds between staff and communities, which he emphasised is vital for a conducive work environment and company productivity.

Through these initiatives and other social programs, Pertamina aims to deliver tangible benefits to communities and reinforce social bonds as a cornerstone of its operations. “With a spirit of sharing and solidarity, Pertamina remains committed to ensuring national energy security while executing social and environmental responsibility programmes to benefit society and the environment,” Baron concluded.
