PT Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to distribute aid to victims of the earthquake in Reok District, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. In addition to channelling assistance to the main posts in Barang Kalong and Golo Conggo, aid is also being actively distributed to community-run posts scattered across several locations in Reok District.

Vice President Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said that the distribution of aid to community-run posts is intended to ensure that all affected communities receive assistance evenly.

“We want to ensure that all earthquake victims in Reok District have their basic needs met. Not only focusing on the main posts, the Pertamina Peduli team is moving to sweep community-run posts established by residents on a self-help basis so that logistics distribution is well targeted,” said Kitty, as quoted from her statement on Tuesday, 25 August 2026.

As of Sunday (23/8), aid had been distributed to 28 community-run posts in Reok District. According to Kitty, the assistance provided to residents includes staple food items such as rice, instant noodles and cooking oil. There are also necessities for toddlers, such as baby milk and nappies.

“We are committed to continuing to assist and ensure that the basic needs of communities affected by the disaster in Reok District are properly met. The distribution of logistical aid and baby-specific needs to community-run posts is our focus so that post-disaster handling proceeds quickly, is well targeted and even until the recovery period ends,” said Kitty.

The initiative by Pertamina Patra Niaga to distribute aid to community-run posts has been welcomed by residents affected by the disaster. The head of RT 09 RW 04, Conggo Hamlet, Golo Sita, Reok District, Kamelus Leli Denga, expressed his joy at the care shown to his area.

“We are grateful to God and would like to thank Pertamina for the assistance. This aid will be distributed evenly to all residents here, including the displaced. Once again, we thank Pertamina for its help,” said Kamelus.

Similar appreciation was also felt by residents in RT 17 RW 09, Reo Urban Village.
