Pertamina Distributes Aid to 422 Earthquake Victims in Flores

Pertamina Patra Niaga has distributed humanitarian aid to communities affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck several areas in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on Saturday (15/8/2026).

Through the Pertamina Peduli programme, the first phase of aid was distributed on Saturday and is still ongoing. The assistance has reached approximately 422 beneficiaries.

VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said the aid was distributed based on information about the needs of communities in the affected areas.

“The Pertamina Patra Niaga team in the affected areas provided information on aid requirements, and as of today (15/8) we have sent the assistance. The aid provided is not only in the form of food, but also various basic necessities needed by the community,” said Kitty in an official statement on Sunday (16/8/2026).

The aid provided includes more than 250 ready-to-eat meal packages, 100 boxes of mineral water, 20 boxes of biscuits, 15 boxes of bread, and 20 boxes of UHT milk.

In addition to food supplies, Pertamina Patra Niaga also provided health and hygiene equipment to support communities during the emergency response period.

These supplies include paracetamol, diarrhoea medication, vitamins, eucalyptus oil, nappies, sanitary pads, bath soap, and wet wipes.

Pertamina also provided three portable toilet units and one 3,000-watt generator to help meet the basic needs of communities at the affected locations.

A representative of the affected community expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by Pertamina Patra Niaga.

“Alhamdulillah, tonight we have received aid for the earthquake-affected community. On behalf of all affected residents, we would like to thank Pertamina Patra Niaga for the assistance provided,” said the community representative.

In addition to distributing humanitarian aid, Pertamina Patra Niaga has also ensured that fuel availability remains stable to support community activities and emergency response efforts following the earthquake.

Previously, Fuel Terminal REO had also distributed food aid to communities affected by the earthquake in the surrounding area.

Pertamina Patra Niaga stated that it will continue to coordinate with various parties to monitor conditions on the ground and ensure that community needs are met during the post-disaster response period.
