Pertamina Distributes Aid to 29,000 Orphaned Children
Pertamina Group has distributed aid to more than 29,000 orphaned children and food assistance to nearly 106,000 economically disadvantaged members of the public throughout Indonesia. This assistance forms part of Pertamina’s efforts to commemorate Ramadan 2026.
Chief Executive Pertamina Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that this moment represents more than a mere social activity, but rather an opportunity to spread positive energy, strengthen bonds, and share happiness, with Pertamina standing alongside the Indonesian people. He made these remarks during a Breaking of Fast event with Orphaned Children at Pertamina House in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. The event carried the theme “Energy to Move Forward with Hope.”
“The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others. Pertamina spreads benefits to society, the nation, and the state of Indonesia. No matter how large a company is, without providing goodness and benefit to society, its presence becomes meaningless. For this reason, Pertamina continues to strive not only to supply energy, but also to channel blessings,” Simon stated in a written statement on Saturday, 14 March 2026.
Simon added that the spirit of shared goodness demonstrated by Pertamina is expected to be sustainable. When one act of kindness is performed, the energy of goodness does not disappear but continues to grow. He also perceives the presence of orphaned children as generating significant positive energy for Pertamina.
“This is what we believe: goodness spread today will become positive energy that continues to flow and provide blessings. We hope this spirit of goodness continues to grow within the Pertamina Group environment, so that being part of Pertamina is not only about working, but also about becoming individuals who bring benefit to others,” Simon said.
The Orphaned Children Assistance and Social Aid Programme is implemented by various Pertamina Group entities throughout Indonesia. In total, 29,634 children and 105,982 economically disadvantaged members of the public participated in the assistance and breaking of fast events, conducted respectfully with Pertamina management in their respective regions.
Additionally, throughout Ramadan, Pertamina has organised various social programmes. These include Pertamina Sharing Happiness (Berkah), which involves educational and religious activities and community engagement. Pertamina Group has also initiated distribution of wearable clothing, beneficial books, and toys allocated to several foundations and orphanages.
“Furthermore, through Pertamina Care and BAZMA (Pertamina Alms House), Pertamina has realised the SEBARAN programme (Spirit of Sharing Eid Clothes) benefiting more than 1,000 orphaned children, the poor, and persons with disabilities across several cities throughout Indonesia, including at Pertamina House Jakarta on 13 March 2026,” he noted.
Corporate Secretary Pertamina Arya Dwi Paramita added that this series of Pertamina activities represents the company’s effort to unite spirit whilst creating momentum for sharing and strengthening relationships during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H.
“The various activities organised represent momentum for strengthening synergy between Pertamina and the community and surrounding environment, whilst deepening bonds of fellowship and sharing blessings and happiness by channelling positive energy to society,” Arya concluded.
