Pertamina Distributes Aid to 1,000 Earthquake Victims in Manggarai, NTT, Accelerating Recovery
Pertamina Patra Niaga has distributed humanitarian aid to around 1,000 residents affected by an earthquake in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The assistance, comprising basic necessities, emergency equipment, and energy support, was delivered on 18–19 August 2026 in Goloconggo and Golosita hamlets, Reok District.
Vice President Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said the aid reflects the company’s commitment to being present and providing support for communities facing difficult times due to the disaster. “Pertamina Patra Niaga shares the sorrow experienced by the communities affected by the earthquake in Flores. Through the distribution of logistical aid, energy supplies, and the construction of emergency tents, we hope to help ease the burden on residents and support the post-disaster recovery process,” Kitty said in a statement on Wednesday, 19 August 2026.
She detailed that the aid covered various basic needs of the community following the disaster, including 340 kilograms of rice, 90 cartons of mineral water, 30 cartons of instant noodles, 300 pieces of bread, staple food packages, baby supplies, and hygiene and health equipment. To support the smooth running of emergency response efforts and the mobilisation of aid in the affected areas, Pertamina Patra Niaga also distributed 1 kilolitre of Pertamina Dex.
In addition to meeting food, health, and energy needs, Pertamina Patra Niaga also helped provide emergency tents as temporary shelter for residents whose homes were damaged by the earthquake. The presence of these tents is expected to provide a sense of safety and comfort for the community during the post-disaster recovery period.
One of the aid recipients, Rosalia Ojam, expressed her appreciation for the assistance provided by Pertamina Patra Niaga to the earthquake-affected community. “We would like to express our deepest gratitude for Pertamina Patra Niaga’s assistance, which has allowed us to rest inside the tents and meet our daily needs following the earthquake. This aid means a great deal to us amid the difficult conditions we are still facing,” she said.
