Pertamina distributes aid and ensures energy supply remains secure in NTT

Pertamina Patra Niaga has distributed humanitarian aid while ensuring energy availability remains secure for communities affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck several areas in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said the company immediately distributed humanitarian aid after receiving information about the needs of communities in the earthquake-affected areas.

“The assistance provided is not only in the form of food, but also various basic necessities needed by the community,” Kitty said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.

She said that amid the emergency conditions which have left some residents in need of various basic necessities, ranging from food, drinking water, medicines, to lighting, the company through its Pertamina Peduli programme is present to support the community while ensuring the smooth running of post-disaster handling activities.

In addition to food aid, the company is also providing support in the form of health and hygiene equipment to help the community during the emergency response period.

Other support includes three portable toilet units and one 3,000-watt generator to help meet the basic needs of the community in the affected locations.

Kitty emphasised that the presence of the state-owned company in a disaster situation is a form of the company’s commitment to helping the community face difficult conditions.
