Pertamina Dex Price Rises, Full Tank for Innova Reborn Exceeds Rp 1.5 Million

JAKARTA – The increase in the price of non-subsidised diesel fuel is once again being felt by diesel car owners, including users of the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn. Following recent discussions on private fuel price hikes, it is now Pertamina’s products that are undergoing adjustment as of 4 May 2026. The price of Pertamina Dex has now risen to Rp 27,900 per litre, from the previous Rp 23,900 per litre. Looking further back, this price has surged significantly from Rp 14,500 per litre prior to the adjustment in April 2026. With a 55-litre tank capacity, the impact is immediately noticeable when filling up fully. For Pertamina Dex at the new price of Rp 27,900 per litre, the full tank cost now reaches Rp 1,534,500. Previously, when the price was still Rp 23,900 per litre, the full tank cost was Rp 1,314,500. Meanwhile, Dexlite has also seen a price increase, though not as steep as Pertamina Dex. At the new price of Rp 26,000 per litre, the full tank cost reaches Rp 1,430,000. Previously, at Rp 23,600 per litre, the full tank cost was around Rp 1,298,000. This means an increase of about Rp 132,000. Compared to the old price of Rp 14,200 per litre, the total difference amounts to around Rp 649,000. Nevertheless, both fuels remain below the prices of private diesel fuels such as BP Ultimate Diesel, which previously approached nearly Rp 1.7 million for a full tank. As an illustration, the diesel Innova Reborn is equipped with a 2GD-FTV engine with a capacity of 2,393 cc, four-cylinder DOHC with VNT Intercooler. With current fuel prices, owners of diesel Innova Reborn now face increasingly realistic choices. It is not just about performance or fuel quality, but also about the increasingly substantial cost calculations each time the tank is filled fully.
