Pertamina Deploys Thousands of Free Homecoming Passengers for 2026
PT Pertamina (Persero) will deploy thousands of participants in the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 (Joint Homecoming with Pertamina 2026) programme to various cities on the island of Java on Sunday, 15 March 2026. This programme forms part of the company’s commitment to supporting smooth public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah whilst promoting safer, more efficient, and fuel-efficient travel.
Through the free homecoming programme, thousands of holiday travellers will be dispatched collectively by bus to 23 destination cities. Beyond providing comfort and safety during travel, the programme is expected to help the public undertake homecoming journeys more economically and reduce the risks associated with private vehicle travel, particularly motorcycles.
Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, Muhammad Baron, stated that Mudik Bareng Pertamina not only provides convenience for the public, but also delivers positive impacts on travel safety and energy efficiency.
“By undertaking homecoming journeys collectively using mass transport, travel becomes more efficient, safe, and comfortable, whilst helping to conserve fuel consumption,” Baron said.
He added that the programme also supports government directives regarding energy conservation amid global energy dynamics. By utilising shared transport, the number of private vehicles on roads can be reduced, thereby helping to curb fuel consumption whilst reducing traffic congestion during the Eid holiday period.
Beyond providing safe and comfortable transport facilities, Pertamina ensures the entire Mudik Bareng Pertamina programme runs in an orderly and well-organised manner. Participants will also receive various supporting facilities to ensure their journeys home proceed smoothly.
The departure of holiday travellers is scheduled from Keong Mas Plaza at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta. Participants will travel to various destinations including Tasikmalaya, Garut, Cirebon, Purwokerto, Banyumas, Kebumen, Wonosobo, Purworejo, Brebes, Tegal, Pemalang, Cilacap, Pekalongan, Kendal, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Wonogiri, Surabaya, Malang, Ngawi, Madiun, and Banyuwangi.
“We ensure that safety and comfort aspects remain the top priority. All fleet vehicles have undergone operational fitness inspections to ensure participants’ journeys proceed safely and smoothly,” Baron added.
Mudik Bareng Pertamina forms part of the company’s commitment to bringing positive energy to the public, particularly during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period. Through this initiative, Pertamina hopes the public can undertake homecoming journeys more safely, comfortably, and efficiently.
Furthermore, Pertamina ensures that the national energy supply remains secure during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period through the establishment of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 Task Force, which is responsible for maintaining the reliability of energy supply and services for the public throughout Indonesia.
As a leading company in the energy transition sector, Pertamina remains committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target and promoting various programmes that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This approach is also aligned with the company’s transformation, focusing on good governance, public service, business sustainability, and the application of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles across all business lines and operational activities.
