Pertamina Deploys Over 5,000 Participants in Joint Homecoming Programme 2026
PT Pertamina (Persero) has once again launched its Joint Homecoming Programme in 2026 under the theme “Safe Homecoming, Shared Hope”. Through this initiative, Pertamina is deploying over 5,000 homebound travellers to 23 destinations across Java Island using 153 buses. The departure ceremony for homecoming participants took place at the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Gate 3 area in Jakarta on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
The Joint Homecoming Programme represents Pertamina’s commitment to supporting smooth public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr, whilst providing safe, comfortable, and joyful travel for all participants.
Pertamina’s Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan stated that the programme demonstrates the company’s concern for people who wish to celebrate Eid with their families in their hometowns.
“I appreciate all Pertamina officers who have worked diligently to organise this highly beneficial programme for our community. Homecoming is not merely a journey home, but a journey that carries the heart to meet family in their respective hometowns,” said Iriawan.
According to him, the activity also reflects the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation that are important values in Indonesian society, especially during the Eid celebration.
Pertamina’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Oki Muraza stated that the homecoming tradition holds deep meaning for Indonesians. Therefore, Pertamina wishes to provide support so that the journey home can take place safely and comfortably.
“Homecoming is not merely a journey back to one’s hometown. Homecoming is longing in motion, happiness that we celebrate together, and kinship that must always be strengthened,” said Oki.
For Pertamina, the Joint Homecoming Programme represents a tangible manifestation of the company’s commitment to being present at special moments for Indonesians.
In line with the theme “Safe Homecoming, Shared Hope”, Pertamina also collaborates with various partners to realise a safe, comfortable, and blessed journey for all participants. The collaboration includes support for transport fleet and provision of various supporting facilities during the activity, such as rest areas for travellers, children’s play areas, and meals for participants.
All these facilities are provided so that each participant can begin their homecoming journey with peace of mind and happiness before embarking on the journey to their respective hometowns.
Oki further stated that the activity is not merely a ceremony to send off homebound travellers, but also a symbol of hope for thousands of people who wish to reunite with their loved ones.
“Through this event, we are not only sending off departure, but also releasing thousands of hopes to return home. Hopes to reunite with beloved families, hopes to celebrate Eid with full happiness, and hopes to relive beautiful moments in their hometowns,” said Oki.
He also expressed appreciation to all partners who have contributed to the success of Pertamina’s Joint Homecoming Programme this year.
“We express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all partners who have worked hard. This dedication proves that Pertamina not only channels energy for the nation, but also brings the energy of happiness to the people,” concluded Oki.
Through the 2026 Joint Homecoming Programme, Pertamina hopes to provide tangible benefits to the community whilst strengthening the spirit of togetherness in welcoming Eid al-Fitr. This programme also forms part of Pertamina’s commitment to continue supporting various community needs, including at important moments such as the Eid homecoming tradition.
