Pertamina Deploys Fuel Delivery Service at Congestion-Prone Locations
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) has deployed a motorcycle fuel delivery service at three locations in West Sumatra during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period, which coincides with predicted traffic congestion points.
“We have strategically positioned this motorcycle service in areas prone to congestion or experiencing very high traffic volumes,” said Fakhri Rizal, Sales Area Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut for the West Sumatra region, speaking in Padang Panjang on Saturday, 14 March 2026.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut is placing the additional fuel delivery service at three main petrol stations: the Padang Panjang City fuel station, Air Putih petrol station in Limapuluh Kota Regency, and Lubuk Selasih petrol station in Solok Regency.
“This service is positioned to manage and anticipate congestion and to ensure the public can access fuel services when needed,” explained Fakhri.
Drawing from experience during the Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah holiday, Pertamina identified major congestion points in the Lembah Anai area of Tanah Datar Regency, Sitinjau Lauik in Padang City, and the Kelok Sembilan area in Payakumbuh City, which borders Riau Province.
Motorists stranded in traffic or running low on fuel near these three locations can contact the service by calling telephone number 135. Delivery personnel will immediately bring the ordered fuel. “A motorcycle unit will deliver 10 litres of fuel in two jerry cans with no additional charges,” he stated.
Pertamina has confirmed adequate fuel supplies to meet West Sumatra’s needs during Eid, with stock levels comprising Pertalite at 41,609 kilolitres, Pertamax at 9,820 kilolitres, Pertamax Turbo at 1,854 kilolitres, and Solar/Biosolar at 33,610 kilolitres. LPG supply capacity reaches 3,000 metric tonnes, distributed via maritime routes from Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal.
