Pertamina Deploys 7,885 Petrol Stations and Delivery Motorcycles to Serve Lebaran Travel Routes
Jakarta — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is ensuring the readiness of various energy infrastructure to maintain fuel availability during the Lebaran 2026 exodus and return journey.
Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Chief Executive Officer Mars Ega Legowo Putra stated that the company is deploying 7,885 petrol stations (SPBU) and more than 6,777 Pertashops throughout Indonesia to anticipate the surge in fuel demand.
“We are prepared to fulfil our mandate to ensure energy services remain optimal throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, whether for land, sea, and air transportation needs or household needs of the people from Sabang to Merauke,” he said in a written statement on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
Several additional services are being prepared to meet the needs of travellers. These comprise 95 modular fuel units, 61 Pertamina Emergency Kiosks, and 200 Pertamina Delivery Service motorcycles that can deliver fuel directly to travellers’ vehicles at congestion hotspots or areas with limited access.
Further services are also available for the public during their journey, such as Serambi MyPertamina rest stops distributed across 43 locations throughout Indonesia. These facilities can be utilised by the public to rest during long journeys.
The Chairperson of the Indonesian Consumer Foundation (YLKI) Niti Emilliana regarded the enhanced services as a positive step to maintain public confidence in energy availability during the travel period.
She hoped that this level of preparedness would not only be implemented during the Lebaran holiday but also sustained in day-to-day energy services.
“Amid various emerging issues, the enhanced services and preparedness undertaken by Pertamina Patra Niaga represents a positive step and can provide reassurance to the public,” said Niti.
