Pertamina Denies Fuel Distribution Halt, Ensures Transporter Payments Are on Schedule

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumatra Bagian Utara (Sumbagut) has confirmed that information circulating in a media outlet regarding transporters allegedly refusing to distribute fuel to petrol stations due to payment delays does not reflect actual operational conditions.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani, stated that the fuel distribution process in the North Sumatra region continues to run continuously. All tanker truck fleets remain operational to meet the community’s fuel supply needs, supported by 24-hour operations at Fuel Terminals and petrol stations.

Pertamina also assured that cooperation with all transporter partners remains sound. Administrative mechanisms and payments to partners are carried out in accordance with regulations and are managed professionally to ensure no disruption to energy distribution to the public.

“Fuel distribution continues to run optimally. The tanker truck fleet keeps moving to deliver supplies to petrol stations according to the established distribution scheme. We ensure there is no halt in distribution due to payment issues with transporters as reported,” Fahrougi said.

Currently, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut is also continuing to optimise efforts to accelerate the normalisation of distribution through 24-hour operations at Fuel Terminals and petrol stations, the addition of tanker truck fleets, support from tanker truck crews, and intensive coordination with all stakeholders to ensure the community’s energy needs are met.
