Pertamina continues distributing aid to earthquake-affected residents in NTT
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is continuing to distribute aid to residents affected by the earthquake disaster in Reok District, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday that in addition to the main command posts in Barang Kalong and Golo Conggo, aid is also being actively distributed to community-run shelters scattered across several points in Reok District.
She said the distribution of aid to community-run shelters is being carried out so that all disaster-affected residents can receive assistance evenly.
“We want to ensure that all earthquake victims in Reok District have their basic needs met. Not only focusing on the main command posts, the Pertamina Peduli Team is moving to sweep community-run shelters established by residents independently so that logistics distribution is on target,” said Kitty.
As of Sunday (23/8), Pertamina Patra Niaga has distributed aid to 28 community-run shelters in Reok District.
According to Kitty, the aid provided to residents includes basic necessities such as rice, instant noodles, and cooking oil. There are also items for toddlers, such as baby formula and nappies.
“We are committed to continuing to accompany and ensure that the basic needs of disaster-affected communities in Reok District are properly met. The distribution of logistical aid and baby-specific needs to community-run shelters is our focus so that post-disaster handling proceeds quickly, on target, and evenly until the recovery period ends,” she said.
The head of RT 09 RW 04, Conggo Hamlet, Golo Sita, Reok District, Kamelus Leli Denga, expressed gratitude for Pertamina’s concern for his residents.
“We are grateful to God and express our thanks for the assistance from Pertamina. This aid will be distributed evenly to all residents here, including the refugees,” he said.
