Jakarta — Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Board of Directors conducted operational inspections ahead of the Eidulfitri 2026 mass migration period in Semarang, Central Java. The visit, part of the Ramadan 1447 H Safari series, was undertaken to assess the readiness of the energy distribution chain, spanning maritime transport, fuel tanker distribution, and fuel station services.

The inspection was conducted by Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Director of Fleet Logistics, Arif Yunianto, alongside Finance Director Bagus Agung Rahadiansyah, aboard the LPG Gas Walio vessel docked at Tanjung Mas Port in Semarang.

During the visit, the Pertamina Patra Niaga executives greeted Captain La Ode Abdul Syawal and the entire ship’s crew whilst inspecting operational facilities including the Cargo Control Room (CCR) for monitoring LPG loading and unloading operations, the Engine Control Room (ECR) serving as the ship’s engine control centre, and checks on the main engine and captain’s quarters.

Arif Yunianto explained that maritime transport plays a crucial role in maintaining national energy security, particularly for Indonesia as an archipelagic nation.

“The Downstream Subholding currently operates no fewer than 345 vessel units and can continue to expand according to needs, whether for transporting crude oil, fuel products, or LPG. Approximately 60% of LPG distribution in Central Java is supported by vessels like this. Indonesia is an archipelagic nation with over 17,000 islands, making ships the lifeline that must never be severed,” Arif stated.

Bagus Agung Rahadiansyah, commonly known as Andi, expressed appreciation to the ship’s crew for their significant contribution in ensuring energy reaches all regions of Indonesia.

“The crew on this vessel are the unsung heroes in Indonesia’s energy ecosystem. You are the ones bringing this energy to Indonesia, making all efforts to ensure energy availability can reach the public and sustain Indonesia’s economy,” he said.

The Gas Walio is an LPG Carrier Fully Refrigerated vessel with a carrying capacity of approximately 13,000 metric tonnes of LPG.

Beyond the vessel inspection, as part of the Ramadan and Eidulfitri Task Force agenda, the directors also visited SPBU (fuel station) 41.502.01 Ahmad Yani in Semarang to assess fuel service readiness for the public ahead of the Lebaran exodus. The inspection covered fuel tanker examinations, quality and quantity (QQ) checks of fuel products, and the Serv-Q mobile service equipped with QQ checking apparatus identical to those at the fuel station.

The Pertamina Patra Niaga Board also inspected the Road Traffic Control (RTC) system for fuel tankers managed by Pertamina Patra Logistik, which monitors fuel tanker movement in real time. This system enables integrated monitoring of fuel distribution from terminals to fuel stations, ensuring timely, safe, and smooth delivery.
