Pertamina Confirms Sufficient BBM Stock in Jember
Pertamina has confirmed that the supply of fuel (BBM) in Jember Regency, East Java, is sufficient to meet the needs of residents during the period from Ramadan to Eid 2026. Consequently, residents are asked not to hoard or cause long queues at several SPBU.
Field observations show that long queues still occurred at several SPBU in Jember up to Friday morning, 6 March 2026. Previously, some residents hoarded BBM amid allegations of shortages circulating on social media.
‘In principle, for all filling stations (SPBU) in Jember, operations are normal and there is no reduction in BBM distribution,’ said Andi Reza Ramadhan, Sales Branch Manager for Region II of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, quoted from Antara, Friday, 6 March 2026.
He noted that BBM distribution at all SPBU in Jember is running smoothly, so the public is asked not to panic and not to buy excessively which could provoke unrest. ‘BBM stocks are plentiful because the Pertalite quota reaches 584 tonnes and Pertamax 279 tonnes to meet the needs of the Jember community. The stock is safe,’ he said.
He explained that Pertamina also continues to coordinate with various parties to ensure the energy supply remains stable. Pertamina is ready to increase BBM supply in Jember if necessary and asks the public to stay calm so there is no need for hoarding.
‘Pertamina will increase the distribution of fuel for the Jember region on Friday morning, so stock resilience can be maintained and long queues at SPBU will no longer occur,’ said Andi.
Meanwhile, the head of the Hiswana Migas branch for Besuki region, Iqbal Wilda Fardana, said that BBM distribution in Jember Regency is running normally as usual and stocks are also very safe. ‘I urge the public not to buy BBM excessively because we guarantee the BBM stock is safe, so it is sufficient to buy according to need,’ he said.
He stated that hoarding actions by the public at several SPBU can trigger long queues and even cause a phantom shortage because BBM stocks at SPBU run out quickly.
