Pertamina Confirms Subsidised Fuel Prices Align with Government Policy

PT Pertamina (Persero), through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, has ensured that the prices of subsidised fuel will not experience any increases until the end of 2026, in line with Government directives. This certainty remains in place despite the dynamics of several parameters that form fuel prices, including global oil prices and the exchange rate of the Rupiah against the US Dollar, which have been experiencing fluctuations.

The Government previously ensured that the price of subsidised fuel would not increase until the end of 2026. This policy is part of the Government’s efforts to maintain energy price stability and public purchasing power amidst the dynamics of global energy prices.

Meanwhile, for General Fuel (JBU) or non-subsidised fuel, prices follow the formula established by the Government. The determination of JBU prices is carried out by referring to the applicable formulas and regulations.

“Pertamina Patra Niaga follows the Government’s policy in determining fuel prices. Although there are fluctuations in several price-forming parameters, such as global oil prices and exchange rates, for subsidised fuel, in accordance with Government directives, there will be no price increases until the end of 2026. As for JBU, prices follow the formula established by the Government,” said the VP of Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, in a press release on Sunday (12/09/2026).
