Various efforts to accelerate distribution by Pertamina Patra Niaga, supported by increasingly conducive traffic conditions, have enabled tanker trucks to reach petrol stations with more optimal travel times. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut has confirmed that fuel distribution in the West Sumatra region is now stable again, in line with improving conditions on distribution routes along several main sections.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, stated that Pertamina continues to optimise all resources to ensure the community’s energy needs are met. "We are committed to maintaining the reliability of energy supply for the community. Now, as conditions on distribution routes improve at several points, the fuel distribution process is also becoming smoother. Pertamina continues to operate all distribution facilities maximally to ensure supplies throughout West Sumatra are maintained," said Fahrougi.

Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strive to provide fuel distribution services to the community despite facing a number of challenges in the field. These challenges include access repairs along distribution routes, narrowing road sections, and landslide material at several points, which caused tanker trucks to require longer travel times compared to normal conditions. Nevertheless, Pertamina continues to optimise operational strengthening and distribution acceleration to ensure the community’s energy needs in West Sumatra are met.

To accelerate the normalisation process, Pertamina deployed 25 additional tanker trucks through a spot charter scheme to increase distribution capacity to various areas in West Sumatra. In addition, the Teluk Kabung Integrated Terminal operates 24 hours a day to ensure the receipt, storage, and distribution of fuel runs optimally.

These efforts are reinforced through synergy with local governments, law enforcement officials, Hiswana Migas, and various other stakeholders, including support for escorting tanker trucks on priority routes. Pertamina also continues to manage distribution patterns, monitor stock at all Fuel Terminals and petrol stations, and adjust delivery schedules so that distribution remains effective during the normalisation process.

As access conditions towards Bungus, as well as the Sitinjau Lauik and Lembah Anai routes, improve, the travel time for tanker trucks to petrol stations is now returning to near-normal conditions. This has resulted in increasingly stable fuel distribution, ensuring the energy needs of communities across various areas of West Sumatra can continue to be met.
