Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Hasan Nasbi said that the government has not yet taken any policy to raise domestic fuel (BBM) prices. This policy was taken even though global oil prices have surged amid the Middle East conflict.

“Yes, if in the global market there is a price increase, but domestically the government up to now has no policy to raise prices,” said Hasan when met by reporters after meeting Indonesian President for the 2014-2024 period, Joko Widodo, at his residence in Sumber, Banjarsari Subdistrict, Solo, Central Java, on Wednesday, 25 March 2026.

Hasan assured that as an operator, Pertamina will follow government instructions in maintaining price stability and national energy supply. Besides prices, he mentioned the fuel supply situation remains safe.

“If from the government, anticipation has already been done. Since the conflict erupted at the beginning, the impact has been anticipated,” said Hasan.

According to Hasan, the government has anticipated since the start of the conflict by predicting possible impacts on energy supply. To maintain supply resilience, he said Pertamina is diversifying crude oil import sources so as not to depend on certain routes like the Strait of Hormuz.

“From the supply side, we are seeking other sources. There are from Africa, America, and other regions,” he said.

Furthermore, Hasan explained that the current national fuel reserves are around 20 days and are regularly updated, so energy availability remains maintained. “If today asked about the stock it’s 20 days, tomorrow asked again it’s also 20 days, because it’s continuously updated,” he said.

He also urged the public not to panic in facing the current global situation. The government is said to be continuously preparing various measures, including the possibility of adjusting consumption to be more efficient. “No need to panic. Up to today the condition is still under control.”

Meanwhile, Hasan also revealed that his meeting with Jokowi in Solo today took place in a silaturahmi atmosphere during the Eid momentum. He claimed there was no special discussion in that meeting. “Eid moment, coincidentally I was in Solo and just got a schedule to meet. No special talk,” he said.

Hasan also highlighted the high enthusiasm of the public who came to meet Jokowi. “There are so many queuing for silaturahmi. I am also grateful to get the opportunity to meet him,” he said.
