Pertamina Chief Commissioner Inspects Energy Infrastructure Readiness in West Java
Pertamina’s Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan visited Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian Barat (JBB), the Integrated Terminal (IT) Jakarta, and Rest Area KM 57A on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road on Wednesday (8/7) to review energy distribution infrastructure readiness and ensure the consistent implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects in every operational activity.
During the visit, Iriawan was accompanied by PT Pertamina’s Director of Logistics and Infrastructure Jaffee Arizon Suardin, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Director of Downstream Optimisation & Distribution Hari Purnomo, and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB Executive General Manager Freddy Anwar along with the management team.
The activity began with an operational review at IT Jakarta, a strategic energy distribution infrastructure that plays a vital role in supplying energy needs in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings. The delegation inspected the receiving, storage, and distribution processes to ensure every operational stage met standards, thereby maintaining energy supply to the public.
The visit then continued to Rest Area KM 57A on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road to review the readiness of energy services for the public. On that occasion, the group also inspected the readiness of supporting facilities and the implementation of HSSE standards in field services.
Pertamina’s Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan stressed that the reliability of energy distribution must be supported by a work safety culture applied consistently by all workers. “The reliability of energy distribution is a responsibility that must be upheld together. Therefore, the implementation of HSSE must become a culture in every operational activity. By maintaining discipline in carrying out safety procedures and good risk management, Pertamina can continue to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable energy services to the public,” said the former Governor of West Java.
Meanwhile, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Director of Downstream Optimisation & Distribution Hari Purnomo stated that the success of energy distribution depends on infrastructure readiness, the quality of human resources, and the consistency of applying HSSE standards in every operational process. “The reliability of energy distribution is determined not only by infrastructure readiness but also by discipline in carrying out work procedures and the HSSE culture. We continue to strengthen all these aspects so that energy services to the public remain safe and optimal,” he explained.
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB Executive General Manager Freddy Anwar said the visit was a momentum to further strengthen the safety culture while improving operational quality within Pertamina. “This visit motivates us to continue maintaining operational reliability while improving service quality to the public. Through consistent HSSE implementation and the support of all workers, we are optimistic that energy distribution in the West Java region will continue to run safely and smoothly,” he stated.
Through this visit, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB continues to strengthen operational reliability through consistent HSSE implementation and deliver safe and reliable energy services to support national energy security.
