Pertamina CEO Makes Surprise Visit to Finance Ministry to Discuss Subsidised Fuel Technology

PT Pertamina (Persero) President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri visited the office of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudha Sadewa today, Friday (24/7/2026). According to observations, Simon arrived at the Juanda building complex around 1:00 PM local time. Purbaya revealed that the meeting would discuss Pertamina’s technology to make the distribution of subsidised fuel oil more targeted. “I want to know what technology will be used to limit it so that the subsidy is right on target,” Purbaya told the media at the Juanda Building, Jakarta, on Friday (24/7/2026). Purbaya said the government is currently focused on ensuring subsidised fuel distribution is precisely targeted, so that consumption volumes can be controlled amid volatile crude oil price fluctuations. “We are ensuring that the subsidy is right on target so that the volume can be controlled,” Purbaya said. “We will wait to see what Pertamina proposes regarding the targeted distribution of subsidised fuel,” he continued.
