Pertamina Calls on Automotive Communities to Use Quality Fuel and Lubricants Responsibly

PT Pertamina (Persero), through Pertamina Patra Niaga, hosted a casual discussion with automotive communities to provide education, appreciation, and dialogue for car and motorcycle enthusiasts. The event, attended by over 50 members from 10 two- and four-wheeled communities, aimed to strengthen collaboration in promoting smarter and more efficient energy use.

Heppy Wulansari, VP of Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated the initiative is part of efforts to deepen consumer connections, particularly with automotive communities that actively use Pertamina’s products and services. Attendees received information on appropriate fuel usage per vehicle specifications, the importance of quality lubricants, energy efficiency, and the benefits of the MyPertamina app.

Speakers included Dian Hapsari Firasati, Manager of Corporate Communication, and Windrian Kurniawan, VP of Retail Fuel Sales, who highlighted Pertamina’s ongoing improvements at petrol stations for better consumer experiences. Economist Komaidi Notonegoro also provided insights on fuel, subsidies, and national energy resilience.

Roberth MV. Dumatubun, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, added that targeted energy education must be reinforced through collaboration with various societal elements, including automotive communities. ‘Responsible energy education is a shared responsibility. We invite the public and automotive communities to collaborate in spreading awareness about using fuel according to vehicle specifications, efficient energy use, and maintaining vehicle performance with quality products. Through this collaboration, we hope public awareness of smarter energy use continues to grow,’ he said.

Automotive expert Rifat Sungkar noted that automotive communities play a crucial role as agents of change in delivering accurate information on fuel, lubricants, and vehicle maintenance. He stressed that using fuel with the correct Research Octane Number (RON) and appropriate lubricants is vital for vehicle performance. ‘The main theme is energy wisdom, and community members are the best agents of change. They are direct users, can provide feedback, and experience the products they use,’ he added.
