Pertamina Boosts Pertalite Stocks by Up to 18% in Central Java and Yogyakarta Ahead of School Holidays

In preparation for the school holiday period from 22 June to 3 July 2026, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Central Java region is increasing Pertalite fuel stocks by 10 to 18 percent at all filling stations (SPBU) across Central Java and Yogyakarta. Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga for Central Java and Yogyakarta, Taufiq Kurniawan, explained the measure was taken to anticipate the current situation. He noted a trend of rising Pertalite consumption during last year’s school holiday period, with an increase of 1.4 percent in Central Java and 7 percent in Yogyakarta for all fuel types. “We all know that Central Java and Yogyakarta are two provinces that rely on the tourism sector as the main heart of their economy, with easily and affordably accessible destinations, so as in previous years, we will support and anticipate this,” Taufiq said in a written statement received by detikJogja on Friday (19/6). Taufiq added that the stock reinforcement at filling stations is carried out through periodic evaluations and prioritises locations near tourist destinations. “We reinforce stocks at filling stations by 10 to 18 percent daily, depending on the predicted daily consumption, which we will evaluate every day together with the filling stations,” he added. Besides increasing stocks, Taufiq said several other measures are being taken to welcome the school holiday period. These include dispatching fuel deliveries in the early hours of the morning and increasing the volume of Pertalite shipments. Additional steps involve deploying more marshalling officers to manage queues, distributing free bottled mineral water, and providing information on the nearest filling stations via the MyPertamina app as an energy access guide for visitors entering Central Java and Yogyakarta. “We are also continuously coordinating with local governments and the police to ensure fuel supply is guaranteed and that queues at filling stations do not disrupt other road users,” he concluded.
