Pertamina continues to ensure the reliability of operational facilities and energy distribution across Indonesia. This includes a Management Walkthrough by the Pertamina Board of Commissioners to the Manggis Integrated Terminal (IT) in Karangasem, Bali, on Thursday, 28 May 2026.

The visit aimed to safeguard energy availability, distribution efficiency, facility reliability, and supply stability, particularly in Bali and surrounding areas.

The Manggis Integrated Terminal is Bali’s largest facility and serves as a strategic hub for other terminals in the Nusa Tenggara region.

Spanning 17 hectares, the terminal distributes various petroleum products including Pertalite, Pertamax, BioSolar, Marine Fuel Oil (MFO), and Marine Diesel Fuel (MDF).

Products from Manggis IT are supplied to 148 public petrol stations (SPBU), 54 Pertashop outlets, two premium and diesel agents (APMS), two SPBUN (fishermen’s petrol stations), SPBU Kompak, and industrial sectors.

Pertamina’s Chairman and Independent Commissioner, Mochamad Iriawan, stated that Manggis IT plays a strategic role as a critical link in maintaining national energy security.

He stressed the importance of maintaining operational reliability while adhering to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards.

‘HSSE is a license to operate. There is no compromise on worker safety, facility security, or environmental protection,’ Iriawan said in a written statement received by Kompas.com on Monday, 1 June 2026.

He added that awareness of safety, emergency response, risk mitigation, and environmental protection must be continuously enhanced to ensure safe, responsive, and sustainable operations.

He noted that these developments would enhance operational flexibility, loading/unloading reliability, accelerate energy distribution, reduce vessel queueing and delays, strengthen energy supply resilience, and improve overall Manggis IT operational efficiency.

Other areas of focus include strengthening emergency plans and preparedness, coordination with maritime stakeholders, maritime facility reliability, and regular testing of emergency response capabilities.

‘I commend the dedication of all officers in maintaining smooth operations, fostering a safety culture, operational discipline, and strengthening synergy and ownership towards the company,’ Iriawan said.

He expressed hope that Manggis IT would continue to enhance operational reliability and evolve into a safe, modern, world-class terminal.

At the event, Laode Sulaiman praised Pertamina’s readiness, noting its reliable stock availability and energy distribution.

‘The main challenge in Manggis IT operations is weather, but I observed these challenges being effectively addressed by the officers through various measures,’ said the Director General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas).
