Pertamina Assures Secure Supply, Urges Public to Use Energy Wisely

PT Pertamina (Persero) is safeguarding the national energy supply amid global geopolitical dynamics and ongoing regional conflicts in the Gulf. As an integrated upstream-to-downstream oil and gas company, Pertamina is promoting the optimisation of domestic production while diversifying energy sources from various regions. “Pertamina continues to monitor global developments and is undertaking various efforts to maintain energy supplies in the country. Through strategies of production optimisation and diversification, the national energy supply is currently in a safe condition, and operations are running smoothly,” stated Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, in Jakarta on Saturday (18/4/2026). Baron conveyed that, in anticipation of the current geopolitical situation, Pertamina is urging the public to help preserve energy availability. “One important thing is wise energy behaviour, starting now and from the smallest scope of the environment; let us use energy according to needs for sustainability in the future,” he explained. To date, he added, Pertamina is also striving to support economic stability by keeping domestic fuel prices steady. All logistics infrastructure and supply chains are ensured to be in optimal condition to meet public needs. “Pertamina is committed to maintaining the stability of national energy supply and prices, as well as ensuring optimal service to the public,” said Baron.
