Pertamina Assures Fuel Supply in Sulawesi is Secure, Urges Public Not to be Influenced by Rumours of Price Increases
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi has emphasised that providing energy to the public remains its top priority. The company continues to coordinate with the government to ensure fuel distribution is carried out in a measured, targeted, and sustainable manner.
Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR, Lilik Hardiyanto, stated that the authority to set fuel prices, including subsidised fuels, rests entirely with the central government.
In this regard, Pertamina’s role is to execute the mandate of distributing energy to the public in accordance with applicable regulations.
“The determination of subsidised fuel prices refers to Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014 and its derivative regulations. We ensure that energy distribution reaches the public in line with government policy,” he said on Wednesday (1/4).
Lilik also stressed that information circulating in the community about projections of fuel price increases cannot be verified for accuracy.
“To date, there has been no official announcement from the government regarding changes to fuel prices. We urge the public not to easily believe information without a clear source,” he asserted.
Pertamina emphasised that all official information is only conveyed through the company’s communication channels. The public can obtain valid information via Pertamina’s official website at www.pertamina.com and www.pertaminapatraniaga.com.
Furthermore, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi assured that fuel stock availability across all regions of Sulawesi is in a safe condition. The public’s needs are guaranteed to be met without interruption.
“The public need not panic. We urge fuel purchases to be made according to needs and not to hoard, as this can disrupt distribution and potentially endanger safety and the environment,” Lilik added.
Pertamina also encourages the wise and responsible use of energy. Misuse of fuel not in accordance with regulations may incur sanctions under applicable law, including criminal consequences.
If the public encounters service issues or finds indications of violations, they can contact the Pertamina Call Centre (PCC) at 135 as the official complaint channel.
Through reliable distribution, ongoing supervision, and active coordination with the government and stakeholders, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi is committed to maintaining energy supply stability and ensuring the public’s needs are optimally fulfilled.
