Pertamina Assures Fuel Prices Will Remain Unchanged on 1 April 2026
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Pertamina, through Pertamina Patra Niaga, has affirmed that there will be no changes to the prices of Petroleum Fuels (BBM), whether subsidised or non-subsidised, on 1 April 2026. This is in accordance with the government’s policy directive not to adjust prices.
Pertamina Patra Niaga also emphasised that it will continue to make maximum efforts to address existing dynamics, prioritising service reliability and the continuity of national energy distribution.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga consistently implements government policies, including those related to BBM pricing. On the other hand, various strategic efforts are also being undertaken, such as negotiations with suppliers and distribution optimisation, to ensure that energy availability remains secure for the public.
“We also urge the public to use energy wisely according to their needs and not to be influenced by information that could trigger panic buying,” said Roberth.
Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, assured that the government will not adjust the prices of non-subsidised petroleum fuels (BBM) on 1 April 2026.
“We convey the President’s directive and the meeting results: there will be no adjustment to subsidised BBM prices, neither an increase nor a decrease; prices will remain flat at the current level,” he stated during a press conference on Tuesday (31/3/2026).
Nevertheless, Bahlil said that his office would continue to review the potential for price adjustments in line with fluctuations in global oil prices.
