Pertamina assures fuel and LPG supply in NTB is secure
Pertamina Patra Niage has ensured that the energy supply in West Nusa Tenggara, including both fuel and LPG, is in a secure condition and sufficient to meet the needs of the local community during the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijriah holidays.
Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR Jatimbalinus, stated that during this celebratory period, fuel and LPG stocks are guaranteed to be safe and adequate, with all infrastructure placed on standby.
“During this celebration, LPG products become a primary focus for community activities. To face the surge in demand, we have mitigated risks through the implementation of facultative distribution as an addition to regular distribution to meet the increased needs,” he said in a statement in Mataram on Tuesday.
On the other hand, for fuel services, Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus will carry out a “build up stock” according to requirements, alongside intensive inspections of gas station facilities and checks on the Quantity and Quality (QQ) of fuel.
“Pertamina also remains ready on-site to ensure the smooth distribution of fuel and LPG,” Ahad emphasised.
Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared facultative distribution up to 59 per cent of the average daily distribution, amounting to 88,200 cylinders for the whole of West Nusa Tenggara. This volume is expected to meet the needs of community activities so that the public can enjoy this celebratory moment peacefully.
Ahad also urged the public to remain calm and avoid excessive purchasing, as energy stocks are secure and sufficient, and advised people not to hoard and to continue buying wisely according to their needs.
“We urge the community to remain calm and not to purchase products excessively, especially LPG. The public should not be easily provoked by unverified information, and should not allow public concerns to be exploited by irresponsible parties,” he said.
Pertamina also encourages the public to use LPG according to its intended purpose, where 3kg LPG is a subsidised product specifically intended for low-income communities, while non-subsidised LPG (Bright Gas) should be used by those who are able to afford it.
