Pertamina assures fuel and LPG supply in NTB is secure

Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured that energy supplies in West Nusa Tenggara, both fuel and LPG, are in a safe condition and sufficient to meet the needs of the local community during the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijriah holiday. Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR for Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, stated that during this celebration period, fuel and LPG stocks are confirmed to be secure and all infrastructure has been placed on standby. “During this celebration, LPG is a key product used in community activities. To anticipate the surge in demand, we have mitigated through facultative distribution as an addition to regular distribution to meet the increased needs,” he said in a statement in Mataram on Tuesday. For fuel services, Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus will carry out stock build-up as needed and conduct intensive checks on petrol station facilities, as well as quantity and quality checks on fuel. “Pertamina is also ready on site to ensure that fuel and LPG distribution runs smoothly,” Ahad stressed. Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared facultative distribution of up to 59 percent above the average daily distribution, totalling 88,200 cylinders for the whole of NTB. This amount is expected to meet the needs of community activities so that people can enjoy the celebration period calmly. Ahad also urged the public to remain calm and not to make excessive purchases because energy stocks are safe and sufficient, and advised people not to hoard and to buy wisely according to their needs. “We urge the public to remain calm and not to buy products excessively, especially LPG. People should not be easily provoked by information that is not yet verified, and not let their concerns be exploited by irresponsible individuals,” he said. Pertamina also encourages the public to use LPG according to its intended purpose, noting that 3-kg LPG is a subsidised product specifically intended for underprivileged communities, while non-subsidised LPG (Brightgas) should be used by those who are able. “For loyal Pertamina customers who need information about Pertamina products, they can use the Pertamina Contact Centre service at number 135,” he added.
