Pertamina Assures Energy Infrastructure and Stocks Ready for Eid Celebrations
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has ensured infrastructure readiness, supply reliability, and optimised energy services for the public during the Eid al-Fitr holiday break 1447 Hijriah.
“We are projecting an increase in energy demand, particularly petrol and LPG, as public mobility rises during Ramadan through Eid al-Fitr,” said Kadek Ambara Jaya, Director of Institutional Relations and Compliance at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, in Surabaya on Wednesday.
To ensure smooth distribution, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara Regional Division is optimising its infrastructure network comprising 1,482 petrol stations (SPBU), 900 Pertashops, and 1,216 LPG agents across East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara.
Additionally, 644 24-hour standby petrol stations and 921 standby LPG agents have been prepared to ensure the public can meet their energy needs at any time.
To maintain supply continuity on high-traffic routes, Pertamina has deployed 17 standby fuel tanker trucks as reserve supply points.
Three Serambi MyPertamina facilities have been established at rest areas and public gathering centres, equipped with facilities for travellers including rest areas, nurseries, barbershops, mini clinics, and children’s play areas.
Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager of Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Regional Division, called on the public to use energy wisely and only as needed.
Nasim Khan, a member of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, expressed appreciation for the various anticipatory measures undertaken during a joint meeting with Pertamina Patra Niaga. He noted that amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East region, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared various contingencies to maintain stock resilience and ensure smooth fuel distribution.
Nasim cautioned the public to remain prudent in fuel purchases, as some regions have begun showing signs of abnormally large purchases that could lead to hoarding.
