Pertamina asserts that circulating information on fuel price increase cannot be held accountable
Surabaya (ANTARA) - Pertamina Patra Niaga has emphasised that information regarding projections of an increase in fuel prices (BBM) circulating in society cannot be held accountable.
“Information on projections of a fuel price increase that is circulating cannot be held accountable,” said Area Manager for Communications, Relations, and CSR at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, in Surabaya on Tuesday.
Ahad stressed that to date, there has been no official announcement regarding fuel prices as of 1 April 2026, so the prices that have emerged in society are not valid information from Pertamina.
He also asked the public to remain vigilant about circulating information because valid information on Pertamina fuel prices is only available through official channels at www.pertamina.com.
“To date, there has been no official announcement regarding prices as of 1 April 2026. Obtain valid information only through official channels at www.pertamina.com,” said Ahad.
Ahad assured that Pertamina Patra Niaga consistently supports the government’s call to use energy wisely.
This decision was taken after the government conducted coordination with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and PT Pertamina in line with instructions from President Prabowo Subianto.
The government also assured that national fuel is in a safe and available condition, so the public is asked not to panic or worry about the issue of price increases.
The government hopes that this clarification can provide accurate information to the public while quelling concerns related to the fuel price increase rumours that had been developing.
“We hope that with this statement, the public can obtain clearer and more accurate information. We hope the public does not need to panic or worry because we guarantee the availability of fuel. We guarantee it and there is no price adjustment,” said Prasetyo.
