Pertamina affirms stability of fuel prices in Papua
Jayapura (ANTARA) - Pertamina has affirmed that fuel prices in Papua remain stable as of 1 April, with secure supply and smooth distribution, urging the public not to panic and to purchase only according to their needs. Acting Interim Area Manager for Communication Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku, Bramantyo Rahmadi, stated in Jayapura on Wednesday that Pertalite is set at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre. “Therefore, we affirm that as of 1 April, there is no change in fuel prices, both subsidised and non-subsidised, which continue to follow the applicable policies,” he said. For non-subsidised fuel in the Papua region, he added, Pertamax is priced around Rp12,600 to Rp13,050 per litre. Meanwhile, Dexlite is sold at about Rp14,500 per litre, and Pertamax Turbo ranges from Rp13,350 to Rp14,800 per litre, depending on regional tax policies in each province. He explained that in addition to ensuring price stability, Pertamina also guarantees the availability of energy supply in the Papua region, particularly in Jayapura. “Fuel and LPG distribution is carried out routinely through the fuel terminal with ship delivery schedules every three to four days,” he said. Therefore, he conveyed that fuel stock availability is in a safe condition and the public does not need to make excessive purchases. Bramantyo also urged residents not to be easily influenced by unverified information. “We assure you that stock is available and distribution is running smoothly. The public is expected to remain calm and purchase according to their needs,” he stated.
